The first day I picked up my horn since the end of school (last Thursday) I nearly hit a high high E during long tones. 0_o I have no idea how that happened, and I was expecting not to be able to reach the Bb below it. This isn't going to be as bad as I thought it was.

Except that the website for the band has no audition requirements posted, just that auditions will occur during orientation and the first week of classes. This worries me because the orchestra requirements include two contrasting pieces and minor scales. And if all the other stuff works out, I will have two weeks to do all of that. (Can we say "doooooooooooooomed"?)

I guess my best bet is to pull a Leroy and hit this head on. Should be fun.
